I spoke with Dana tonight and told her I wanted to get Snow over Memorial Day weekend, but she's got people coming to adopt this weekend. I don't want to take the chance of losing him, so I emailed her and told her, "nevermind, I'm coming to get him this Sunday". :D
He came from Citizens for Animal Protection, so she doesn't know his story. He's somewhere between 2 and 4 years old, so we'll say he's 3 years.
I haven't mentioned this to my husband. I know. I just don't want to stir him up over Cupid again. No ferret will ever replace Cupid and I'm not suggesting that's what I'm trying to do. Little Snow stole my heart, so I just need to quietly go get him and bring him home....Besides...K. might as well get used to coming home and find me with new ferrets. That's the nature of rescue.
Ugh. I was cleaning cages tonight and accidently vaccuumed up a little bitty stuffed walrus and it is stuck!! K. is trying to get it out now.
I'm so pleased you're going to give Snow a home- he's lovely! I know the others will love him too. You can never have too many friends! (Tell Keith that ;-))Ferret Maths (with an s, as we call it in the UK) is hitting me already. We are hoping to move this year sometime, and I have suggested we get another friend for the boys...
ReplyDeleteHope you manage to dislodge the walrus. I know Simon would be sooo upset if his little hedgehog disappeared! He carries it around with him like it's his little baby, and won't let Alvin anywhere near it. At least he has a good hidey hole for it in the bottom drawer under the wardrobe, which we gave up for them (along with my favourite big jumper, several cuddly toys, my palm from Palm Sunday, etc, etc!)
Oh, congrats on the new addition! Keith'll fall in line shortly (who can resist a cute ferret face?).
ReplyDeleteAnd I've managed to vacuum up so many of The Triad's toys it isn't funny. The worst was their Nylabone, only because it got lodged at an angle :(
i couldn't help but laugh when you said you were going to just sneak him in. I do it all the time... the big tough guys are the ones that are the softest for the fuzzies :)
