IT'S PATHETIC, REALLY

OK, so I will start with the happy news, first, since happy news makes me happy! :) This is Snow! He came home with me yesterday. So far, he is settling in pretty well. There is a problem with him and Ziggy not getting along and fighting to the point of puffy tail, poop and blood (Ziggy's foot). It doesn't appear to be one bullying the other. It seems to be a mutual dislike. That part has been a drag and I hope it will work itself out sooner rather than later. I gave everyone a bath in lavender baby shampoo today. Perhaps this picture of Ziggy can explain how everyone felt about a bath:
LOL! It's his porcupine look!
Anyway, K. is OK with Snow coming home with me. BUT, he is NOT OK with any type of rescue. I got that message loud and clear last night. I've cried my eyes out about it. Now I just need to move forward and accept that it just isn't going to happen. I feel like a real dumbass. Oh well.
I 'm grateful to have my six little guys that I love so much and who love me, too. That's all that matters, anyway.
Eh. I'm in no mood to write.

  1. I sure do hope that Ziggy and Snow have a change of heart and can at least tolerate each other [but ferrets *never* want to make our lives easier, do they?].
I'm so sorry to hear that the rescue thing fell through--but look at it this way: at least you've given 6 ferrets a wonderful home. That's something that they may not have gotten if you hadn't come along.

As for the facebook thing--I've thought about it [I think I have an old account around here somewhere], but I just can't get into it, for some reason. Dunno why.

  2. Well, maybe you'll be able to get back on eventually.

It's a little better between Ziggy and Snow today. Still tense, but no puffy tails or poo. Can't take each other too seriously when they all smell like lavender!!

  3. Glad you got Snow home ok, and hubby was fine with it. Hopefully Snow and Ziggy will learn to love each other. I saw a good article recently on Everything Ferret about this http://www.everythingferret.com/ferret_introductions.htm

It's a shame about the rescue, but Sunny's right- you have six beautiful fuzzy boys who have a wonderful home who you've helped greatly and who love you a lot! You can always spend more time helping out at HAFA. I wish I had a ferret rescue near me I could volunteer at..
