I had to laugh, though, because there he was all stretched out in the HH, looking up at me with sleepy eyes. I asked him if he'd spent his day taunting the other ferrets through the cage bars! ("Neener neener neeeeener, I'm out of my caaage!") And I figured it was yet one more irritation to Ziggy...(poor Zigs, he gets no respect...)
Anyway. I'm seeing things sort of settle down between Snow and Ziggy. We aren't officially friends yet and there is still some squabbling. But every day is better and better. I'll give it another week and I think they'll be sleeping in the HH together. Milo keeps stealing Snow's little stuffed racoon I bought him, which tells me Snow is becoming part of the business because his toy is worth thieving!!
AND IN OTHER NEWS:
- Yesterday was our little Dave E. Bear's fifth birthday! Yay, Dave Bear!
- We have this treadmill we are supposed to be selling now sitting in our living room. Rocky was wound up yesterday evening and climbed on the arm rest of a chair and tried to fly up to the treadmill console....and missed! He would've made it on World's Funniest Pets. Too bad I didn't get it on camera. No, he was not injured. He simply war danced across the room...
- Today I will go home and start on cleaning more out of the workout room. Tomorrow, I get up bright and early and start cage cleaning and assembling.
- Sometime, too, I need to sew a bedding set for a raffle we are doing for the rescue. Thank God I'm taking some days off from work!!
That's it, I believe. Just another day in the life of a woman, her man and bunch of little fuzz balls!
I swear, every time I read the smallest snippet about bedding sets, my eyes get huge. I've promised myself that if I keep doing so well with the whole not-smoking thing, then I buy a set for my guys (because let's face it, The Triad doesn't care what they sleep on. But darn it, I want it to be pretty!).
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to here that Ziggy and Snow are slowly warming up to each other, and you have my pity about cage cleaning [but it's for a good cause, so it's more like *noble* work having to clean them *g*].
Best wishes to you and your crew!
Good news about you setting up the foster/ satellite home. Everyone's happy now, dook, dook dook! I'm really pleasd for you!
ReplyDeleteI hope Dave had a happy birthday. No doubt he had lots of fuss :-)
I'm glad Snow and Ziggy are getting on better. They'll soon learn to love each other.
So Snow made the Great Escape, lol! Glad he was ok. My two have a couple of hidey holes; one in the main wood wardrobe bottom drawer, and the other in their huge carry box which is inside the plastic zip up wardrobe. If we not sure where they are, they are usually there.
Funny about the treadmill and Rocky. Have you ever let your fuzzies have a run on it?
I really should make some bedding sets of my own, especially as my degree was in Textile Design. I must find the time to do it.
Simon and Alvin say hello to your fuzzies!
Sunny--Congrats on sticking with the non-smoking program! A new bedding set would be the perfect reward for you and the Triad! Give them big lovies for me!
ReplyDeleteTanya--Thanks for the well-wishes! Looks like I may be jumping the gun on thinking Snow and Ziggy are starting to get along, though. :(
No, I never put a fuzzy on the treadmill, but it might be kind of funny (It'd have to be going very slow, of course, or else...whoosh! He might really COULD fly, then!! LOL!)
Wow, A degree in textile design?? You could make some awesome bedding, I'll bet!
Loves to Simon and Alvin!
